Join us in December for a tour of breweries in the Twin Cities.  Tour includes one night in a downtown Minneapolis hotel and transportation on a luxury coach – not Marcus driving a 15-seat van this time!!  Some of the breweries we will visit include…..

Thursday, December 8th 2016

Early morning departure from Ames. Welcome aboard Legacy Tour & Travel.

Settle in and get comfortable as our luxury coach departs to Minneapolis.

Breakfast on-your-own break stop at Clear Lake exit, I-35.

11:00 AM:

Arrive Surly Brewery, Minneapolis, for lunch-on-your-own (The beer hall serves salads, appetizers, sandwiches, BBQ and complete meals. A selection of the brewery’s hop forward and malt forward beers on tap will be available to compliment your meal.)

Please Note – a group tour with advance booking and confirmation is not available at Surly.

2:00 – 6:00 PM:

Visits to leading Twin Cities craft brewers.

Possible stops include Dangerous Man, Bauhaus, Indeed, Summit, or Able Brewing as time permits.

Evening at leisure in Minneapolis Warehouse District.

We will visit the Fulton Brewing Company Taproom.

Overnight at Best Western Normandy INN – downtown Minneapolis.

Friday, December 9th 2016

All-you-can-eat cooked breakfast buffet, served in the dining room of our hotel.

Juice, cereals, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, bread and toast, tea or coffee.

12:00 Noon:

Brewery tour and guided tasting at Lift Bridge Brewing, Stillwater MN.

We enjoy a tour and four 6 oz. beer samples with meat & cheese platter.

 6:00 – 8:00 PM:

Worth Brewing Company, Northwood IA

The well-known Northern Iowa brewery has recently opened a new taproom on the second floor. Restored to its original 1896 appearance with tin ceiling, fir floor, even a stage, it’s a great place to have a beer! Food will also be available here for our evening meal.

 10:00 – 10:30 PM:

Estimated arrival back home in Ames

We return home with great memories of the exciting craft brewing scene of the Twin Cities; vowing to return soon to visit more of the nationally-recognized breweries and taprooms.
